Disney Shares First Look at Cinderella Castle Decor for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”
The first piece of decor has been added to Cinderella Castle for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration“, the 50th anniversary event that kicks off on October 1st, 2021 for 18 months. Imagineer Zach Riddley on the Disney Parks Blog shared photos of the “royal blue jewel, with gold detailing and shimmering draping”. These adornments will add to the new color scheme Cinderella Castle received in 2020. We were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and nothing had been added to Cinderella Castle yet but we look forward to stopping by again next week!

Riddley says, Walt Disney Imagineering developed new colors, gold detailing and vibrant hues for this makeover, drawing inspiration from Disney Legend Mary Blair’s vision of the classic film, “Cinderella.”
Cinderella Castle will be receiving the makeover over the coming months with the turrets and towers receiving “shimming pearls, jewels and ribbons in royal blues and iridescent golds”. Cinderella Castle will become one of four Beacons of Magic at the Disney parks at night.
