Gorgeous “Cinderella” Themed Chocolate Sculpture at Disney’s Grand Floridian Features Castle, Fairy Godmother

Hi everyone!

I stopped at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort yesterday to pick up a couple of Easter treats and found a Cinderella themed chocolate sculpture I’ve not seen before. From looking online, it looks like it appeared somewhere at the resort in February but I have not seen it in my stops here until yesterday. We have photos and video! A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the Ratatouille sculpture in the Grand Floridian Cafe. The Grand Floridian Bakery has created a number of exquisite sculptures since opening.

Entering the resort, it was nice to see floral arrangements – orchids – in the pots.

At the back of the lobby in front of the still-closed Garden View Tea Room is the sculpture, complete with Cinderella, Fairy Godmother and Cinderella Castle.

Here is our video and then over 20 photos.

There is a plaque saying the chocolate sculpture is hand-decorated by the Grand Floridian Bakery.

Fairy Godmother holds her wand, Cinderella is in her ball gown and the steps lead to the castle.

A hidden Mickey can be seen in the pumpkins.

Here are a few more photos of Fairy Godmother.

And the pumpkins near her feet.

Cinderella holds the sides of her gown.

The gown looks like it is shimmering.

Here is a look from the side. I couldn’t see the back of the display.

Pumpkins surround her feet.

From the top of the glass case, you can see the long stairway.

The Cinderella Castle turrets even have that royal blue look like currently in the Magic Kingdom for the 50th Anniversary makeover.

Here is a look from the side. A pumpkin can be seen here too.

The details close up are beautiful.

Here is one last look at Fairy Godmother and Cinderella.

And the bottom of the sculpted staircase, which must have taken quite a while to design.

I would love to know more about these sculptures (how long they take, how much chocolate, etc.). It is really nice to continue to see so much creativity! There haven’t been as many displays this past year for the various holidays so I’m glad to be able to enjoy these beautiful chocolate artwork creations.
