In Mousesteps Weekly #500, we talk about the first day of our stay at the royally reimagined Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris (opening night). This includes the Royal Banquet buffet character lunch; A Royal Encounter character experience; the Deluxe Lounge Breakfast and Tea Time, and much more.

The Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris reopened on January 25th, 2024 after a royal transformation that took several years.
We arrived at around 8:00 a.m. and joined a line of cars to enter the Disneyland Hotel parking lot, and then entered the lobby where we took photos with Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski and the Disneyland Paris Ambassadors.
We went to our reservation at A Royal Encounter with Ariel. We didn’t know who the princess would be. After we finished our meet and greet, we were able to book more.
We show a look at the Deluxe Lounge breakfast. There was no breakfast on opening day but we wanted to show that as part of the show. Breakfast is not available for guests on their first Deluxe room day, but Tea Time is available as well as all-day drinks.
We head to the Royal Banquet buffet, which includes plenty of food and four characters. The characters at our lunch were Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their new costumes for the hotel.
We show both of the rooms we were given – briefly the “Frozen” room that was not working and then the “Sleeping Beauty” room that was better. The latter we received after 8:00 p.m.
We do talk about the alcohol policy at the end.
