(Photos, Video) ‘Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration’ Debuts at Disneyland Resort for Pixar Fest 2024

Hi everyone!

“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” debuted yesterday at Disney California Adventure! The parade debut was in advance of Pixar Fest, which begins on Friday (April 26th) and runs through August 4th, 2024. We enjoyed Pixar Fest back in 2018 and look forward to the kickoff this week!

We have photos and video to share, and will have more in the coming days as well. There are SO many new characters for the parade, but also some familiar floats from the former Pixar Play Parade (including the lead float, the “Inside Out” float and the “Up” float, including Russell riding Kevin).

Here is our video, followed by about 30 photos.

Luxo Jr. leads the parade. There are many performers as well as characters in “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration”.

The “Turning Red” segment is first, with performers dressed for the theme!

The float features Panda Mei, her friends and 4*Town. These are all new characters for Disney.

Next is “Up”, with Carl Fredricksen and Dug on their float.

Russell rides atop Kevin.

Joe Gardner from “Soul” has been at the Pixar Place Hotel, but is still a very new character and is new for the parks. There are musicians on the float as well.

Joy and Sadness are on a float with Bing Bong atop memory orbs.

Also new are the “Luca” characters on this large float.

Alberto and Luca are in the parade, as is Giulia. We met Alberto and Luca yesterday at a media event, and you will be able to find them at Pixar Pals Playtime Party in Fantasyland Theatre. 

Giulia is on a Vespa, and Machiavelli can be seen behind her.

Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, as well as Frozeone represent Pixar’s “The Incredibles”.

The back says, “You’re My Favorite Deputy”.

Miguel from “Coco” is featured on a float with other characters. These include Buzz Lightyear (seen in the back).

Mike Wazowski, Sully and Jessie are here too.

We will be photographing the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” more times in the coming days and I’ll add new photos to this article (and we will eventually have a multi-angle video).

It is great to see so many new characters for “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration”! It is nice to see so much representation from Pixar’s newest films now.

We were hosted for one night for Pixar Fest, and we’ll be here the rest of the trip on our own.
