Disney’s Magical Express Motorcoach Service Ending After 2021

Hi everyone!

Disney announced today that the Disney’s Magical Express service will end after 2021. First started in 2005 (I was a travel agent then), the complimentary motorcoach service has lasted longer than I ever expected but also has been such a convenience to guests traveling from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World and back.

Disney says about this, Vacationers have more options to choose from than ever for transportation, including ride-share services that save time and offer more flexibility to go where they want, when they want. In light of this shift, when Disney Resort hotel bookings open for stays in 2022, we will no longer offer Disney’s Magical Express service for airport transportation, starting with arrivals Jan. 1, 2022.

The Mears-operated service will continue for new and existing reservations made at Disney Resort hotels for arrivals through 2021.

Disney’s Magical Express has been a wonderful way for guests to have peace of mind when traveling to their Disney resort. There is scheduled to be a Brightline station at Disney Springs in the future, I am not sure if that will be sometime in 2022 or 2023 and will be another option for transport. You can read more about Disney’s Magical Express service here on the official Disney website.
