Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2022 Flower Quilt Takes Shape

Hi everyone!

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden kicks off on March 2nd, and the main flower quilt has been planted. New for this year is the 50th Anniversary noted in the flowers, and Mickey AND Minnie designs. Mickey’s head is pretty standard each year but I don’t remember Minnie’s ever being outlined. Here are photos from yesterday!

Monorail black passes by with Minnie’s head in the background.

A “50” can be seen in the flowers for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

The Imagination pavilion is in the background.

Mickey’s head is a recurring pattern.

Minnie’s is as well. It was fun to see Minnie’s bow outlined this year!

The flower quilt will grow in the coming weeks and become more colorful.

Here is one last look at that area.

The secondary flower quilt is ready to be planted, with the stakes in the ground.

And while I’m looking forward to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is still running through February 21st, 2022. Here are a few chalk art pieces from Leigh, including Nick and Judy.

Rocket is next.

And Mickey and Minnie are ready for Valentine’s Day!

Nate Baranowski was creating “Frozen” 3D artwork.

This is my favorite time of  year, as “two festivals collide” – I enjoy EPCOT International Festival of the Arts while also watching the flowers and topiaries placed for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival (my favorite festival of the year!). We will be posting much more as that festival forms.
