7/8 Legoland Florida Open House, Photos of Cypress Gardens/Legoland Area

I wasn't sure what to expect when heading to Winter Haven for the Legoland Florida Open House at the Orange Dome – I figured it'd be a small gathering of people interested in the park. I was totally wrong – the turnout was overwhelming, and top executives were in attendance to talk with guests about the park and it's impact on the community.

We have a couple of videos from the event here! (If you are a Disney fan, we just put up a new Fantasyland update up as well from July 7th!)

We parked in the back (the lot was pretty full and traffic getting in heavier than I thought).  Many news crews from the area were there.  A Legoland Florida sign and figure were inside:

The first time the speakers went up to the podium, the Orange Dome was packed.  We took more photos and video the second time around, when less guests were inside.  Here are some photos of the stage, Lego podium and the backdrop:

We spoke with John Jakobsen, Managing Director of Legoland Parks.  He was very happy with the enthusiastic response to the Open House – and we asked him about a possible shuttle from the other theme park areas, and he said that they are in discussions about that this week.
