12/26 Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge and Wilderness Lodge Villas Christmas Photo Update

Hi everyone!

I am always happy to make a visit to Fort Wilderness, it's one of my favorite places on Walt Disney World property – but around any holiday, the resort really shines!  The campground guests take it upon themselves to show their holiday spirit in new and creative ways.

Thank you to Jeff at JeffLangeDVD for taking all of the video!  He is now upgrading to high definition video, and my new Canon camera (with a 35x optical zoom) has high definition too.  That should make our videos and photos even better in 2011!

We parked at the Wilderness Lodge, heading to Roaring Fork before walking over to Fort Wilderness (photos of the inside of the Wilderness Lodge and Wilderness Lodge Villas are at the end).

 

 

 

I haven't had the opportunity to take the walk between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge as often as I used to, but I really love it.  We saw quite a few deer, which tend to be out in the early morning hours as well as dusk:

 

 

I picked up a few of these beautifully colored leaves to keep – we don't usually get the brilliant fall colors here like we are right now:
