Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney Springs Photo Update – January 2nd, 2017 w/Planet Hollywood Observatory, The Edison, Paddlefish & More

Hi everyone!

We were at Disney Springs on New Year’s Eve, and took photos of some of the construction and more around Disney Springs. It was a nice, pretty quiet afternoon and early evening (at least compared with the parks). We have a look at Paddlefish, Planet Hollywood Observatory, The Edison and more.

The Planet Hollywood Observatory is getting closer to finished, as more signage has gone up.

The Stargazers Bar sign is up, and lights up at night (see the last photo in the article).

The Planet Hollywood sign can be seen from this angle.

Planet Hollywood.

Here is a look closer at some of the sign and some doors.

Planet Hollywood Observatory from the ground.

Next, much of the Characters in Flight signage is currently gone as it gets ready to go under for a quick refurbishment this month (January 9th – 13th) to update the look, from what I understand.

The Edison also has new signage from our last visit.

1901 is noted at the top, along with Power & Light.

Here is a different angle.

The Edison is scheduled to open later this year.

Power & Light.

We enjoyed lunch at The Boathouse. This is still my favorite restaurant at Disney Springs, and I highly recommend it if you’ve not been.

This was our view.

The filet sliders have gotten smaller, but are still delicious and a good value at $14.00.

Jeff ordered a Mahi Mahi sandwich (on the specials menu), which was huge.

I’ve never noticed this owl on top of the building, to keep away other birds.

Characters in Flight lifts off.

The amphicars were out in force.

Next up, Paddlefish (formerly Fulton’s Crabhouse). It is scheduled to open this month.

The paddle wheel is now on the back.

Here is one more look at the wheel.

The Polite Pig is coming to this location in 2017, bringing barbecue to Town Center.

Wine Bar George is also scheduled for 2017, not far from Raglan Road.

We enjoyed a view from the Coca-Cola Store, as well as new cocktails.

Here is a look at The Edison construction.

Planet Hollywood, including the “We’re Opening Soon” sign, with Guy Fieri (who created some of the menu).

I already wrote up an article about new cocktails at the Coca-Cola Store, including Beverly’s Revenge.

Here is a look at the Beverly’s Revenge offering.

And the drink itself (you can see one of the flights in our article as well).

This is the view of Starbright Holidays, which ends January 8th, 2017.

And the Stargazers Bar sign lit up at night.

There is still quite a bit coming to Disney Springs in 2017, there are so many restaurants already and we look forward to the new ones.
