Alden Suites on St. Petersburg Beach is a Relaxing Retreat: Enter Our Giveaway for 2 Nights!

We were invited a couple of weeks back for a night at the Alden Suites on St. Petersburg Beach. Until we were invited, I’d not heard of the resort and only knew what to expect from some quick online research. I am familiar with St. Petersburg Beach from living in the St. Pete/Clearwater area for 17 years through 2001, but Alden Suites was off my radar. I was VERY pleasantly suprised by this resort, which boasts 141 one-bedroom suites. The hotel itself was much larger than I expected, with really nicely landscaped walkways and a jacuzzi that is almost pool sized (15 guests can fit). Not that I had jacuzzi time this trip, we wanted to make sure to have enough photos and videos to share! There are quite a few other activities, including tennis, beach volleyball and shuffleboard. The resort is beachfront, just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. There are also newly refurbished beach bungalows, which are essentially small homes (those do not overlook the beach).

Before we accepted the one night stay, I did what I always do – I checked reviews online. With 4 or better out of 5 stars on sites like TripAdvisor, I knew Alden Suites was one I should be able to recommend to our readers and viewers. Honestly, it still exceeded what I expected for a beach hotel and earns its hashtag of #AldenWow. And we do have a contest as well to give away 2 nights! Our one-night stay was in a beachfront suite – this is how close the hotel is to the beach! Not all suites have this view, there are a variety of views available and the contest is for a pool view suite.

It was really nice to have a balcony with a beach view to relax on.

There were two rooms separated by the bathroom area in our suite. The bedroom was fairly dark, which was nice at night for sleeping. The main room with kitchen and seating was very bright, with a lot of light coming in. For me, that is perfect.

Our trip included a sunset boat ride from Suncoast Watersports. The company is very highly rated for various activities – they also rent those seats on the beach that you can see in the photo.

The weather was threatening but soon we ended up with a gorgeous sunset. The boat ride was really nice, and the prices are reasonable.

This is one of the Beach Bungalows – it’s like having a small Florida home to yourself, but on the property of Alden Suites. They are not beachfront.

Suncoast Watersports was out with guests parasailing. We didn’t try any watersports this trip.

The Cabana Bar is very popular, especially in the evening. There are some food items at a truck, but Alden Suites doesn’t have a restaurant – there are plenty within a walk or very short drive. We were treated to some items from Snappers, which is a well regarded restaurant on St. Pete Beach. And if you are looking for groceries, Publix can deliver through the Instacart app. Publix has great subs and fried chicken, it is the grocery store I frequent most.
