TRON Coaster Construction at the Magic Kingdom from August 25th, 2020

Hi everyone!

We were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and will be posting several articles – first up is the TRON coaster construction as the canopy is also being added. The pics and video are from several different angles.

The TRON sign went in about 2 years ago now. The attraction has been scheduled for the 2021 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.

Here is our video of the construction yesterday followed by photos.

Here is a look from the Goofy’s Barnstormer area.

TRON is based on TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland.

Pieces of the canopy can be seen.

Here is the TRON Lightcycle Run video from Shanghai Disneyland that our friends at Our Florida Project gave to us to post this year. The canopy can be seen early on.

Back to Walt Disney World, with more photos.

The track can be seen from various areas of Tomorrowland, but best from Goofy’s Barnstormer queue right now (and further below, from the Tomorrowland Speedway).

Space Mountain can be seen to the right.

It is going to be really interesting to have two E-Ticket coasters next to each other.

A Dream Builders sign (from afar) – themed to Storybook Circus.

Here are some more photos from the Barnstormer queue.

The canopy being added can be seen here.

A closer look as it is being installed.

As I walked up the ramp, you can see a wider shot of the building.

We also went on the Tomorrowland Speedway. Right now the People Mover is not running and that may be the case until Halloween or later.

Here are some photos while riding around the track.

And three more photos from elsewhere in Tomorrowland.

It was nice seeing so much work going on at the site yesterday!
